CONVENTION FAQs
I have so many questions that are not being answered at this time; why is that?
Convention registration is a complex process and lots of data is being distributed all at once. Please remember that step 1 of our convention planning process is ticket sales via this W Club RTB lottery and we need to remain focused on this. Fully paid conventioneers will receive a complete convention package at some time in the next few months that will contain all of the information they will need about the rest of the event.
What is the minimum age to attend the convention?
The Convention is an adult collector event. There may be adult language and themes during the event, including from staff and fellow collectors. Although the technical age minimum is 12, we would suggest you consider whether it is appropriate for any collector who wouldn’t be admitted to an R-rated movie.
I'm not certain if I can make it or not; can you hold a spot for me and I will pay later?
Unfortunately, we cannot. We are holding this RTB convention ticket lottery to give everyone a chance to make their final decision about attending or not. Convention typically sells out quickly, so if you are planning on attending the event, do not delay entering, as we cannot guarantee or reserve spots.
I wish I could attend in person, but I just can't. Do you sell absentee packages?
No, we don't. It would not be a convention without guests physically attending the event in person.
I can't attend this year, but a friend could be there for me. What can I do?
Based on multiple communication issues we've had with third-party individuals coming to conventions representing other guests (a system known as "proxy"), we do not allow this at our event and Integrity Toys will only acknowledge one registrant per registration ticket. The convention team will only speak directly with the guests who are registered to attend the convention in person. As always, you are more than welcome to make your own arrangements to purchase someone's convention goodies before or after the fact, but we will not deal with third parties who are not physically in attendance at the convention. This includes (but is not limited to) purchasing a ticket for someone else when you are not attending, pre-ordering the convention collection unless you are registered and attending, etc. It's very simple: if you are not physically attending the convention, we will not be able to assist you; the convention's customer service is solely dedicated to paying/attending guests.
If you find someone to attend on your behalf, please make sure that you both understand that they are the ones who will have to purchase the convention registration or any other items offered during the event in their own name and then, ship them to you afterward. Any arrangements that you make with this person will be strictly between you and them and Integrity Toys will no longer recognize or deal with anyone else other than the guests actually present in person at the convention and whose sole name appears on the ticket.
If you purchase a ticket and leave a note in the comment section that "so and so" is attending for you, YOUR TICKET WILL BE VOIDED IMMEDIATELY. This decision is final and non-negotiable. No exceptions will be made.
Will there be payment plans?
The main event ticket will have a payment plan option divided into three payments, with the first payment due May 17th and the final payment due June 28th. More information on souvenir payment plans will be forthcoming.
I’m unable to attend in person, can you make an exception in my case and/or make allowances for me to attend the convention "virtually"?
To be fair to all of our guests, no matter what the reason is, proxies are no longer allowed. Again, you are more than welcome to make your own arrangements, but we will only deal with the guests who attend the convention in person. Due to the limited size of our convention team, we can't accommodate "virtual" attendees.
What is the Style Lab?
This fabulous and fun shopping experience will feature some of your favorite characters from the NU. Face brand this year! The Style Lab is separate from the main IT store at the event and offers a chance to purchase a series of nude dolls for which you can match a collection of fashions that are sold separately. You are allowed to purchase one fashion per nude doll that you select. An option to pre-order the complete Style Lab collection will be offered to registered attendees in the upcoming registration package.
What is the Fashion Bazaar?
The Fashion Bazaar is a one-night, traditional collectible "doll show" style event where attendees can reserve a table (at no charge) to sell doll-related goodies (only non-branded and IT products allowed) and where everyone can shop! Whether they are hand-made collectibles, IT dolls, related accessories, or diorama miniatures, this salesroom is set up in the hotel's ballroom (more details about this will be in the upcoming registration package).
I want to make a vacation out of this convention and bring my family; is that possible?
While your family members are more than welcome to stay with you at the convention hotel, only fully registered guests will be allowed to attend the various functions and gain access to the convention swag and events, such as the IT Souvenir Shop, Style Lab, ballroom meals, giveaways, etc. There are a lot of great activities in the surrounding areas for your family to do while you attend official convention functions.
How are shopping lines and wait times controlled at the convention?
Each guest will be issued a priority shopping number or slot. This is what will determine your place in the IT Direct store and Style Lab for the convention based on the schedule that will be sent out via email before the start of the convention. At the convention, all you will need to do is show up at your appointed shopping time. Please take note that the Main Convention Collection and Style Lab dolls will all be produced with one available for each attendee; a select amount of other products will be more limited and are not guaranteed. Note: The number/slot will not be based on ticket purchase time this year. The method used to determine this number will be shared with ticket holders at a later date.
I want to be a table host, take part in a workshop, and pre-order the convention collection; where's the full convention package?
RTB winners will need to purchase their convention tickets first, so we will release the convention package with those details only to paid ticket holders within the next few months.
I'm considering coming to the convention for the first time and I am not 100% certain of what to expect budget-wise. Can you give me a rough idea of what I can expect?
We worked hard on pricing for everything that goes into planning an event of this magnitude, but due to the ever-increasing price of goods, services, and food going up, it will have a significant impact on our convention, as well. Coming to the convention is an adventure where you must also account for meal times where we are not offering sit-down functions in the ballroom, the price of any centerpiece doll and or collectible you wish to buy, as well as the price of your room and airfare (if you need to fly to attend). Typically, registration package included, it is a good idea to set aside a minimum of $4500 to $6000 US to have a full convention experience, including buying exclusive products.
If I purchase a convention ticket and need to transfer my ticket or cancel for any given reason, what can I do?
Organizing these conventions involves a lot of obligations on our part and we ask that if you decide to join us, you take this commitment seriously. We will accept cancellations up to 60 days before the start of the convention, therefore until August 24th, 2024. A fee of $100.00 US for cancellations per convention ticket will be applicable. After August 24th, 2024, no refunds or transfers will be accepted, and you will forfeit the price of your ticket if you choose not to attend the event. This is not negotiable and out of fairness to everyone, we will not make exceptions. No transfers of any kind will be allowed.
I registered for the convention, but due to a last-minute problem, I couldn't attend. Will you send me my goodies after the event?
We all have things going on, sometimes out of our control, which can happen at any given moment. While we try to be as accommodating as possible at the event itself, it would not be fair for those who went through the trouble of attending to just send out the goodies to those who missed out. We will not accept last-minute requests to have table hosts pick up goodies on your behalf. Souvenirs are counted and table hosts will be instructed to bring us back any souvenirs that are not spoken for. If you are not present in person, you forfeit your convention ticket and there will be no refunds issued or souvenirs sent after the convention.
Will there be shipping at the convention?
Integrity Toys will have a shipping station set up for on-site shipping. More details will be provided to convention attendees at a later time.
